Description:
A small-to-medium Spanish pillbug with striking white marbled patterns across a dark base. Each individual displays a unique marble-like design. Popular with collectors for display purposes, they are visually attractive but require patience during the initial establishment period before breeding reliably.

Appearance & Behaviour:

• Smooth, domed pillbug shape
• Dark base colour with variable white marbled patterns
• Rolled juveniles already show marbling, which intensifies with age

• Burrowing and hiding is common; not climbers

• Moisture: Moist zone (~30–40 %) for hydration and molting; majority drier (~60–70 %)

• Décor & Hides: Cork bark, hardwood pieces, flat stones, moss patches in humid area

Diet & Nutrition:

• Detritivore: Leaf litter, decaying hardwood, cork bark
• Supplementary: Vegetables (carrot, courgette, cucumber, sweet potato), fish flakes, pollen, occasional fruit
• Calcium: Essential for exoskeleton; provide cuttlebone, crushed eggshells, or limestone

Breeding:
